(Perspective of a Rifle)

I have always admired objects that also provide protection, They do a similar job to mine. This was the initial thought I had when I was placed in upright position and looked upon that which they call ‘helmet’ This was during the beginning of the battle at Guadalcanal.

When the soldiers would sling me and others on their backs, they generally reached in their pocket for money. American money to be specific. I often saw change being dropped, and never retrieved. Also, people would raid bodies after they had perished and take valuable things such as money.

I didn’t see these as much as I did hear them. These bullets went into a different kind of gun than I am, that is why I do not have a personal sort of relationship that I have with other bullets. But I heard them. They were very loud, and sort of chaotic as most guns were. These were used at the actual battle and many died from this type of bullet.

Now these are actual rifle bullets that I am very close with. Its amazing how power and danger are very similar. I have the power to kill someone. Many fell to my doings during the Battle of Guadalcanal. I have seen many cry out in pain and many fall and just stare into blank space. These bullets flying through my core and penetrating something far away, is crazy.
5) http://www.pacificwrecks.com/people/visitors/flahavin/relics/USgrenade.jpg
The only time I saw grenades was when they were being thrown in the distance. Then you would see bright red and maybe orange flashes before we had to hit the dirt. Once , I believe I saw a title on one of them. It was labeled "Made in the U.S"
6) http://www.pacificwrecks.com/people/visitors/flahavin/relics/75mm.jpg
Again, I do not have a physical experience with this bullet. But I have overheard some of the American soldiers talking about it. It’s a 75 mm shell, and was used in battle, but found in the spot where the seahorse battle took place.

This was the metal label that was put on Things like bombs and tanks . When we would bring these onto the court, my person would have to read them to make sure it was what they wanted. Special orders too, even though it was evident by how they physically looked.

I used to see a lot of smoking during Guadalcanal. A lot of the soldiers Japanese and American used cases to keep their cigars in. When they felt the tension of war they would pull it out and take out a cigar. That’s when I saw the tin boxes. I always admired the designs on the front also.

These are the buttons that soldiers wore. The only time I could admire these, was when the soldiers stood at attention, and Then I could swiftly glance up at them . Some read the last name of the soldier… Well, I’ve only see a few. Other buttons had the symbol of America on them, and some stated class or rank in the military.

Just as much as the battle was land , it was also at sea, From the shore I saw U.S ships bombing Japanese ships , and then watched as one of the Japanese ships burned slowly into the waters right of the coast of Guadalcanal

This was a sight I saw every day. More commonly there were loads more people on the ground.
13) http://guadalcanal.homestead.com/files/SBD_dive_bomber_1.jpg
We bombed the Japanese out of the water- literally. These planes were seen from above and they would annihilate entire portions of places.

Water Canteens were used ALOOOT. Water is obviously important humans for some reason.. not sure why.. it ruins my power… But They were dropped a lot and used a lot .

I like to call This thing the ‘ Backup in case I decide to malfunction weapon.’ In my opinion, not very useful. But you know they do make good sidekicks
16) http://www.nationalww2museum.org/see-hear/collections/focus-on/guadalcanal.html
During certain times , I would see this 48-star flag flying on the mast of a boat .

U.S military tanks combated the Japanese greatly. They gave an advantage to us. I know that some soldiers complain that they would never be able to take down a german force with these, but for the Japanese they worked pretty well.

This was the person I was ‘loaned to’ He had his portrait made due to the fact that he received a medal of honor for his courageous acts in battle

This is another member of shall I say, family? I believe it is a little less powerful , and men always had to lug it around, due to the stand it was on. But a gun all the same , right?

This is a photo that someone took. The mere boy in the corner, with the rifle? That’s me and my person. We were waiting on commands from the general.
